Wii U to be compatible with NFC feature


Wii U, the next-generation gaming console, successor of the current Nintendo Wii, is confirmed to be compatible with NFC (Near Field Communication) feature as online electronic money.

Accroding to GPara, the NFC feature built in the Wii U controller will support two contactless RFID smart card systems including FeLica and MIFARE technologies. RFID cards with these ones can be considered as a e-pocket when shopping via Wii U.

Two major exhibitions ready for game and comic fans at the TWTC and Nangang Hall

Complexity to be real? This year, it should be. After 9-days holiday period in the Chinese New Year, the Taipei Game Show, an exhibition for digital content and console game industries, and the Taipei International Book Exhibition, the biggest publishing and book exhibition in Asia, are ready to invite visitors from gaming, comic, and anime fans to join in the TWTC and Nangang Hall.

Taipei International Book Exhibition, a 20-year-old historical exhibition, will theme on "Green Reading" this year to raise the awareness of environment issue in addition to the setup of the "Green Reading Pavilion" with e-books and e-publication solutions at the International Hall (TWTC Hall 1).

Besides of Green Reading Pavilion, the Comic Animation Hall (TWTC Hall 2) will present several author and voice actor signing events for comic fans. In addition, the 6th TIBE Cosplay Competition, the main event of Comic Animation Hall, will also be held on the weekend during the show.

Taipei Game Show, featured on digital content and console gaming industries, will be a major gaming exhibition this year moving to the TWTC Nangang, in which the COMPUTEX Taipei, TAITRONICS, Taipei Cycle, and several TAITRA Taipei Trade Shows are located since 2008. In presence, overseas pre-registration and local ticket lucky draw events are being processed.

2011 Mobileheroes Taiwan: "JulyNet" as a localization of "jubeat plus" in Android


Since Android and iOS competed intensively, several gaming developers have planned balancing game varieties in these main two mobile platforms. "JulyNet" by I@July Inc. is just a great example on localization and platform development.

In 2011 Mobileheroes Android UI Design Competition, an Android application similar with Konami "jubeat plus" on iOS platforms named "JulyNet" participated on this competition as Internship Department. It mostly featured on localization and Android platform compatibility. The JulyNet also provided different difficulty on single play and online versus for Andriod tablet and phone users.

Although its interface and music copyright issue existed, but the I@July Inc. showed a great ambitions on benefiting users handed with Andriod devices.

2012 Taipei Game Show opens for overseas registration

"Taipei Game Show", organized by the Taipei Computer Association, is the most famous complex game and digital content industries trade event since 2003. It focuses not only for online and console PC games with "Made In Taiwan" brand, but also several gaming competitions since arcade games (e.g. "REFLEC BEAT", "Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion", "Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Arcade") joined this event last year.

To strengthen digital content and gaming industry in Taiwan, the Game Industry Promotion Alliance (GIPA) was founded in 2006 to serve as the communication bridge between the government and the game industry. In 2008, The B2B service of Taipei Game Show is firmly established for collaborating opportunities with international counterparts.

To raise up the international state in the Asia-Pacific digital content industry, the Taipei Game Show will be moved to TWTC Nangang, in which the COMPUTEX Taipei, SecuTech Expo, and several famous TAITRA Taipei Trade Shows are currently located.

The overseas registration will be ended before the Opening Day of the Taipei Game Show 2012.
